The Part-time Broker Services Representative (PT BSR) for John L.
Scott’s Gig Harbor Office provides administrative support for the office and Real Estate Broker Associates while working at the front desk.
This important role sets the tone for the office culture by greeting guests, answering phones, returning email inquiries, and assisting Broker Associates and the Office Leader with a variety of tasks.
The BSR may take on additional responsibilities such as listing/transaction coordination, marketing projects and tasks related to accounts receivable.
This position requires a friendly, professional demeanor, must be computer/systems savvy and have a passion for customer service.

*Primary responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:* * Answer phones, and greet guests as soon as they enter the office * Receive and sort daily mail * Maintain a visually appealing office; Ensure office and reception area and conference rooms are tidy and presentable * Ensure office supplies, real estate signage, and office inventory is ordered, stocked, organized, and available to brokers as needed * Act as liaison between brokers and the IT department * Maintain a trusting and team-oriented relationship with the Brokers and the entire branch support team * Provide information, technical assistance and/or training to brokers regarding all John L.
Scott tools, Broker Services, and software applications * Enter/process/update transactions, listings, and provide support to brokers; process deal and listing checklists after office leader review (including closing completed files); use accounting software to enter/update transactions & listings and provide account receivable support * Additional administrative responsibilities as needed including, but not limited to, reviewing, distributing, copying, and organizing paperwork, flyer production and ordering, as well as additional tasks as assigned by Office Leader * Reliable attendance required to be sure initiatives and processes are moving forward as well as ensuring customer service levels are where they need to be *Required Knowledge and Competencies:* * Ability to understand the Company culture in client/broker/management relationships * Practiced in Microsoft Office Suite such as Outlook Word, Excel, Publisher, Adobe Acrobat, PowerPoint etc.
* Accuracy and attention to detail are key in performing all tasks * Effective communicator both verbal and written, including ability to work successfully with varying personality types * Proactive, with willingness to take on new tasks and assist Brokers as needed.
This can require trouble shooting.
* Applied knowledge of the technology available to serve the real estate industry * Ability to perform all tasks on the Broker Services Menu of Services and general office duties * A developed understanding of the Transaction and Listing process, Escrow, Mortgage, Title and Home Warranty Insurance products and services preferred * Excellent customer service is a must *Qualifications:* * High school diploma or equivalent certification required, minimum AA degree preferred * Three or more years in customer service experience * General office experience, PC/MAC and data entry skills * Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills * Professional appearance and demeanor * Sales and/or Real Estate experience helpful, but not required *Position, Compensation & Benefits:* * The position is part-time, up to 28 hours per week.
The position is considered non-exempt for purposes of Wage and Hour Law.
* Pay is from $18 to $20.
