As a member of the Human Resources (HR) team, the Operator Trainer ensures the efficient daily operation of multiple production and/or finishing lines in a high speed, high volume manufacturing environment by ensuring that Operators have the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the assigned job tasks.
In this role, the Operator Trainer is responsible for the execution of the Company’s training and career path program for hourly operators, updating training materials to correspond with new procedures and monitoring activities and performance on the manufacturing floor to meet safety, quality and production design goals in addition to cost objectives, as well as promoting a strong team atmosphere.
What You’ll Do: Actively executing the Company’s operator training program to ensure each team member is able to perform the functions of his or her role to meet or exceed the Company’s safety, quality and operational standards by: (40%) Creating an environment that promotes teamwork and accomplishments by: (20%) Actively supporting the plant safety programs by: (10%) Providing knowledge to team members to enable them to understand required conformance of material being produced to meet or exceed the 98% 1st pass quality standard by: (10%) Understanding and transferring the knowledge of the waste, speed and delay design for each product on each machine to new team members by: (10%) Actively pursuing opportunities to reduce costs and meet the site yield expectation of 95% or higher by: (10%) The position responsibilities outlined above are in no way to be construed as all encompassing.

What You’ll Bring: Bachelor’s Degree (preferred).
2 or more years in a Trainer role in a high-speed manufacturing environment to include, interviewing, facilitation, performance analysis, training materials, and development.
Demonstrated ability to effectively take action to solve problems while exhibiting sound judgment and successful stress tolerance.
Demonstrated ability to present information in a way that it is understood and assimilated by others, including team members at all levels in the Organization.
Proven knowledge of manufacturing processes, procedures, and standards and the ability to communicate and teach that information to others.
Ability to assess and / or address gaps in knowledge and skills with operators, leads, and Supervisors.
Demonstrated ability to act independently upon information and make decisions that achieve optimal results.
Strong interpersonal and written/oral communication skills (bilingual in Spanish a plus).
Demonstrated intermediate skills with the standard features of various personal computer word processing and spreadsheet software (Microsoft Word and Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet, and other proprietary software).
Demonstrated ability to influence and get results through the actions of others.
Demonstrated ability to think ahead and plan over a 90-day time span including preparing and implementing action plans.
Demonstrated ability to measure a team member’s performance to pre-established goals and standards.
Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload while paying attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to function as a strong team player.
