The function of the Greeter/Cashier is to ensure all clients are greeted and attended to while in for their visit to the dealership.
The Greeter/Cashier is often the first face a client sees when entering the dealership and is therefore expected to create the ultimate first impression and offer everyone who steps foot in the store a first-class experience.
Greeter/Cashiers must not only be friendly and engaging but must also be excellent organizers and problem solvers to provide clients with the best experience possible.
BMW Northwest is the first BMW retailer in western Washington and is a part of the Scharmach Automotive Group.
As a family-owned company, we have been offering the complete range of new BMW vehicles since 1968.
We are conveniently located in Fife and serve the surrounding areas including Tacoma, Seattle, Bellevue, Lakewood, and Olympia.
We are looking for people with excellent people skills, enthusiasm, and drive to join our team and to grow with our expanding dealership.
We will train the right individual to make sure that they are given the right tools to succeed in this business.
Service Greeter Hours Sunday 11am - 5pm, Monday & Tuesday 7am to 6PM, Saturday 9am - 6pm Responsibilities Greet every person that enters the dealership, help, answer questions and direct clients to their desired department in a professional and friendly fashion.
Be always present at the front desk or ensure another individual is present in your stead.
Complete all assigned opening and closing duties.
Maintain the cash drawer.
Receive cash, checks, and credit card payments from clients.
Make change and issue receipts.
Process refunds as necessary.
Close repair orders upon payment.
Count the till in the morning and prepare the cash drawer for the day.
Answer multi-line telephones in an efficient and professional manner.
Maintain a clear understanding of schedules to direct calls.
Screen calls and direct them to the correct department.
Maintain the coffee/snack bar: ensure the space is clean and well-stocked.
Rotate snacks and dispose of any items past the expiration date.
Ensure the coffee machine is functioning as intended and work with vendors to schedule any maintenance or repairs needed.
Maintain the boutique and waiting area.
Clean and organize areas on a regular basis.
Ensure clothing is regularly steamed, has appropriate labeling/tagging, and is displayed in a stylish and enticing fashion.
Compile floor traffic log as directed by sales management.
Track “ups”, turn in logs to sales management on a regular basis.
Stock in vehicles as directed by sales management.
Possess flexibility with schedule.
Be able to work weekends and/or evenings and provide coverage for Seattle MINI as direct from management.
Position Requirements Demonstrate exceptional customer service.
Possess professional appearance and dress.
Demonstrate excellent communication skills with clients and employees.
Be able to count change/handle money.
Possess the ability to manage multiple tasks with confidence.
Possess experience with answering multi-line phones.
