What Is Forestry Mulching?
Forestry mulching is a selective land clearing method that uses a single machine to cut trees, brush and unwanted vegetation while leaving behind a fine layer of mulch that is functional as well as beautiful.
Forestry mulching with a purpose built machine is more efficient and many times faster than using a chainsaw or tractor.
It’s also less disruptive and neater than traditional heavy equipment, burn piles and dump trucks.
This one-machine, one-operator method can take up to 8” tree stems flush to the ground, leaving a surface that can be immediately driven over, mowed, or seeded.
The resulting mulch also provides superior erosion protection.

A forestry mulcher can access densely forested areas that cannot accommodate larger machinery.
Forestry mulchers can also operate in inclement weather and on softer, more vulnerable surfaces, allowing forestry mulching to occur year-round.

My Rayco C100R USA built mulcher may have cost me the twice the capital as a ‘Bobcat’ type machine but it’ll run full throttle all day and work through 2-4 acres of biomass.
