This is a 1978 Fender Stratocaster electric guitar.
The guitar was made at the original Fender factory in Fullerton, California.
The guitar is in excellent condition, and is all original, except for the nut, the Kahler Bridge, and 1 fret was professional added to the fretboard ($1,200 value).
The pickups, pots, and neck serial number date back to '78.
A 1977-'78 Black Fender Stratocaster was also featured as a "Guitar Of The Day" on Norman's Rare Guitar Youtube channel (link below).
This is also the exact model that Sting donated to the National Museum of American History (link below).
Currently, this is the only 1978 Fender Black Stratocaster being sold online (Guitar Center, Reverb, Ebay, etc.
).
Comes with its original Fender hardshell case.
