Description Clinical/Medical Technologist 2 Western State Hospital is seeking to hire a Clinical/Medical Technologist 2 at our Western State Hospital Laboratory.
You'll use your laboratory expertise in specialty procedures, including phlebotomy, and all tasks to keep the laboratory functioning as a College of American Pathologists accredited facility.

Typical Work: Perform microscopic examination of peripheral blood smear and urine sediments Analyze complex patient testing in all areas of the laboratory: hematology, chemistry, immunology, and urinalysis Perform Phlebotomy Operate and maintain analyzers, instruments, and equipment Provide billing (CPT) codes for the tests performed daily We're looking for those with: A bachelor's degree in Medical Technology with a curriculum accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association (or equivalent experience) And 2 years of experience as a Clinical/Medical Technologist 1 or equivalent experience/education in Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science And a certification with American Society of Clinical Pathologists (Medical Technologist, Medical Laboratory Technician, or Medical Laboratory Scientist) or equivalent (e.
