Maintenance Technician I

The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for the proper utilization of materials and equipment to perform a variety of routine maintenance tasks including preventive maintenance, scheduled work orders and shop upkeep.

Eligibility begins the first of the month following 30 days of employment.
Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 403(B) plan (Eligibility on 403b – 20+ hours per week) – We match 50 cents for every dollar saved up to 10% of your annual salary.
Matching begins the first of the quarter following 1 year of employment.
Full-time employees are eligible to accrue up to 16 paid time off days, 6 paid holidays and 3 personal days.
Pro-rated paid time off is available to part-time employees.

* Completes work orders accurately and in a timely manner * Installs and maintains communication systems.
* Troubleshoots and repairs electrical systems.
* Repairs and maintains lighting fixtures.
* Repairs and maintains plumbing systems.
* Repairs and maintains healthcare equipment.
* Assists in preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of HVAC.
* Performs preventive maintenance, and assists in chemical treatment of HVAC and water recreation systems.
* Assists in the preventive maintenance and repair of kitchen equipment.
* Maintains and assists in the repair of residential appliances.
* Assists in the maintenance of buildings and equipment throughout the campus.
* Drives company vehicles and equipment.
* Attends in-service training and education sessions.
*Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience: * * High school diploma or GED.
* Minimum two years’ experience in facility maintenance or related services field.
* Valid Washington State Driver’s license.
* Motor Vehicle Record check with no serious violations recorded.
* Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
* Working knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, and electricity.
* Ability to use power and non-powered tools to make repairs.
* Ability to troubleshoot building maintenance problems.
* Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
* Able to work independently using good judgment and common sense.
* Regular, predictable, dependable attendance.
* Ability to read, write and communicate clearly in English.
* Strong customer service skills.
* Knowledge and willingness to apply safe work practices.
