Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Greets, checks in and out all Echo patients in the Tacoma location.
Schedules testing to be performed at CSC.
Schedules or reschedule appointments for patients as needed.
Attaches all electronic Epic referrals to appointments at CSC.
Greets patients and/or visitors.
Schedules patients from Referral List daily.
Schedules all referrals that are sent to CSC via fax or mail.
Escorts patients to exam rooms when necessary or requested.
Completes paperwork and computer data for no-shows, reschedules and cancellations.
Notifies Patient Rep if referral is needed for patient’s appointment due to insurance change, walk-in, etc.
Reviews Echo Schedules daily to ensure they are at full capacity and reports out to Imaging Manager and Director as requested.
Works in conjunction with the Imaging Referral Coordinator to schedule all Imaging tests in the Imaging Queue timely.
Arranges for interpreting services as needed per protocol.
Travel to any of the various Cardiac Study Center locations (Auburn, Gig Harbor, Lakewood, Puyallup, and Tacoma) if requested by Imaging Manager.
Acts as a resource and preceptor for new hire Imaging appointment desk/referral queue staff.
Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) and six months work related experience or training required which includes: knowledge of medical office procedures.
Certificates and Licenses: No certifications or licenses.
Communication Skills:
Requires successful interpersonal and communication skills with patients, families, physicians, and other health care team members in order to foster optimal quality of outpatient care.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instruction, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations.
Math Skills:
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10s and 100s.
Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurements, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
