Law office in Tacoma for FOX BALLARD PLLC is looking for a motivated full-time experienced litigation Legal Assistant or a hybrid legal assistant/paralegal.
Legal assistant will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative and support to the firm’s attorneys, and support staff.
If applying for the hybrid position, in addition to the expectations associated with the legal assistant, there is the expectation that the candidate will perform some paralegal/billable tasks.
Candidates must have a pleasant disposition and proven initiative in managing multiple priorities simultaneously which are deadline-driven and highly detail-oriented.

Legal Assistants Skills and Responsibilities, include but are not limited to the following:
•Candidates should have strong verbal and written communication skills, be able to prioritize assignments and independently make decisions on time-sensitive matters.
•Responsibilities will include scheduling and maintaining a complex and fluid calendar of appointments, conference calls, meetings and travel itineraries, managing client relationships and timely responding to client requests and emails.
•Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office 365 products, working with PDFs, and proofing and finalizing correspondence, pleadings, discovery, and motions.
•Processing new and existing client matters, conflict matters, time entry and interfacing with the finance team regarding billing issues.
•Successful candidates should have experience and knowledge with e-filing in state and federal court, case management, docketing, e-discovery, document review, exhibit preparation, and excellent organizational skills.
•Candidates must be familiar with the State and Federal rules of civil procedure.
•Strong analytical, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
•Ability to take initiative, self-motivated, manage expectations, anticipates needs, and solves problems.
•Exercises discretion with confidential information.

Fox Ballard PLLC offers a friendly business environment with a salary range of $60,000-$70,000 based on level of experience and ability to generate billable time if applicant is interested in the hybrid paralegal position at the higher end of the salary range.
Legal assistants applicants are eligible for the low end of the salary range.
