Busy general practice law firm is in need of a professional and efficient legal assistant.
Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Candidates must have extensive paralegal/legal assistant experience in personal injury, specifically motor vehicle cases.
Duties include: Preparing demands for motor vehicle claims, identifying and confirming liens, conducting intake interviews of clients, drafting pleadings, letters, demands and other legal documents; transcribing dictation; e-filing and preparing working copies for court; interaction with firm clients, opposing attorneys, and court staff; maintaining legal files and records; case management; calendaring critical litigation dates, completing medical chronologies.
Required Skills: Ability to prioritize and self-manage; work with others in the office as a team; strong writing and editing skills; customer-service experience; excellent organizational skills; experience with computers and proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, Pierce County LINX and court system; experience operating facsimile and copy machines; ability to maintain confidentiality; high school diploma or equivalent, preferred associate’s degree at minimum.
· High school or equivalent (required)
· Paralegal/Legal Assistant degree (preferred).
· Post high school education (preferred)
Experience:
