As we prepare to open our doors, we are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Kitchen Helpers/Dishwashers to join our team.
Responsibilities:
Dishwashing: Properly clean and sanitize all dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
Ensure a constant supply of clean dishes for the kitchen and front-of-house staff.
Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including countertops, shelves, and storage spaces.
Adhere to health and safety standards in handling cleaning chemicals and disposing of waste.
Food Preparation Support: Assist the kitchen staff in basic food preparation tasks, such as washing and cutting vegetables, preparing garnishes, and assembling dishes as directed.
Trash Disposal: Regularly empty trash containers and maintain cleanliness in the trash disposal area to ensure a hygienic kitchen environment.
Inventory Management: Assist in receiving and storing food deliveries, rotating stock, and keeping track of inventory levels to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
Cooperation: Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain a smooth workflow, ensuring timely service and the highest quality of food preparation.
Health and Safety Compliance: Comply with all food safety and sanitation regulations, including proper handwashing, personal hygiene, and safe food handling practices.
Adaptability: Be willing to take on various tasks as needed, providing support to different areas of the restaurant during busy periods or as required.
Requirements:
Experience: Previous experience as a dishwasher or kitchen helper is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
Physical Stamina: The role requires standing for extended periods, lifting heavy objects, and performing repetitive tasks.
Applicants must be physically fit to fulfill the responsibilities.
Team Player: Possess a cooperative and adaptable attitude, capable of working effectively with a diverse team of kitchen staff and front-of-house employees.
Reliability: Punctuality and commitment to work schedules are essential to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen.
Knowledge of Japanese Cuisine: While not mandatory, familiarity with Japanese cuisine and culture will be considered a plus.
Legal Compliance: Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States and comply with all employment regulations.
