*Technical Assistant and Program Coordinator * The Tacoma-Pierce County Chamber is a regional organization of businesses and leaders dedicated to making the South Sound the best place to do business.

Under the direct supervision of the Project Administrative Specialist, the Technical Assistant and Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating business support services across departments and programs, including direct assistance to businesses.
Business support services include 1) Pierce County Business Accelerator with a 2024 budget of $800k designed to serve 120 businesses, 2) Kiva Capital Access Program connecting local entrepreneurs with crowd funded, no-interest loans, ranging from $1,000 to $15,000, 3) 1-on-1 technical assistance to businesses in need of support around issues from finances to marketing, 4) Property Leasing Program providing creative businesses opportunities to lease spaces, and 5) Business Leadership Academy Program covering 8-weeks of leadership development.
The successful candidate will have an array of abilities that allows them to manage projects, tasks, vendors, relationships, and budgets.
In leveraging these skills, the Technical Assistant and Program Coordinator will have a significant impact on making the South Sound a great place to do business.
*Candidate Abilities* · Work independently and collaboratively on special projects with excellent time management and problem solving.
· Plan and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously within different Chamber programs.
· Detail-oriented.
· Understand racial and cultural differences while being sensitive to issues and concerns of communities of color and other diverse groups.
· Interact and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders to provide excellent customer experiences.
*Job Duties* · Support program logistics such as meetings, travel, graduations, and site tours, often outside of the typical workday.
· Provide support for instructors and help participants navigate special project activities as needed.
· Support the training and support of 120 businesses in 2024 and key relationships involved in the PCBA program.
· Provide 1-on-1 technical support to participants outside of classroom time.
· Serve as the Capital Asset Manager for Kiva including managing the Kiva Hub.
· Support local businesses through the Kiva application, disbursement, and repayment process.
· Actively engage with the local community to promote Kiva's mission and opportunities for entrepreneurs.
Provide 1-on-1 technical support to small businesses in need of support including but not limited to: * Business Plan Review * Loan Applications * Mentoring * Financial Literacy * Specialized Help/Coaching * Business Incubation * Technology Services * Relocation Assistance * Capital Access * Coordinate with partners on commercial leasing placements when needed.
· Oversee property management of Chamber partnered spaces, ensuring their efficient operation and compliance with relevant regulations and requirements.
· Work with Spaceworks program creative entrepreneurs for placement in Spaceworks managed spaces.
· Work with our partner, Pacific Lutheran University, on logistics execution of program, including the scheduling of business tours and speakers from around the South Sound.
· Plan offsite retreat and program graduation.
· Track and grow attendance.
*Work Environment* This job operates in a professional office environment and typically requires the staff person to work from the office.
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, electronic and paper filing systems.
This position requires off-site work outside of normal business hours.
This position will have a flexible schedule to best accommodate the responsibilities assigned.
A sample work week is 9 am to 4:30pm, 5 days a week (.
5 hours for lunch) for 35 hours + 5 hours of flex time for events/etc for a total of 40 hours.
Evenings and weekends as well as early morning (before 9am) will be expected to accommodate the schedules of small and micro-businesses, events, and program needs.
Besides computer and desk work this position requires the ability to occasionally lift between 10 to 20 pounds for event set-up and take-down as well as lifting food and beverage supplies as needed for events.
Further, this position will require employee provided transportation to events and meetings.

_ *Compensation* This is a full-time, at-will, hourly position.
Dependent on experience, the compensation is expected to be $25-$35 an hour.
This position also includes an array of benefits including ORCA transit pass, 401(k) with 4% employee match, short- & long-term disability coverage, AD&D insurance, health insurance, dental insurance, 11 paid holidays, and 16 days of paid time off (PTO) per year.

*Required Education and Experience* • High school diploma.
(Associates or higher degree preferred.
) • At least 3 years of program or project management experience.
(5 years preferred.
) • Demonstrated skill in managing diverse internal and external relationships in a professional office environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Competent in cloud file storage like SharePoint and Dropbox, Zoom video conferencing, and database management.
