*Haven of Rest Funeral Home and Memorial Park in Gig Harbor *is currently hiring a Weekend Receptionist.
Office Hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Saturday and Sunday.
Competitive compensation based on experience and credentials.
The administrative assistant is responsible for:
* Telephone customer service and reception
* Greeting individuals in person
* Maintaining schedules and calendar
* Facilitating communication between families and our licensed Funeral Directors
* Creating & maintaining legal documentation
* Processing billing & payments
* Mail processing and basic ordering
An ideal candidate for this role:
* Professional presence and demeanor
* Proficiency in punctuation, spelling, and grammar
* Empathetic; comfortable navigating grief work with families
* Self-starter, ability to set and complete tasks independently
* Comfortable working alone and in partnership
* Knowledge of basic office software – outlook, word, excel, ect.
* Willingness to learn
Minimum Qualifications:
* Experience working with a multi-line phone system
* Previous customer service related work, preferably including fielding over the phone inquiries
Preferred Qualifications:
* Previous experience in social work, elder care, or the death care field
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.
00 - $24.
00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 24 per week
