*Clinical Fellow* *Full Time – Lakewood Clinic* Cohen Veterans Network alongside Valley Cities values the experience that Scholars (interns) in our clinics bring both to the clinic and network and want to ensure that there is a pipeline from Scholar to Fellow so that institutional knowledge is not lost.
To that end, we provide competitive funding on an annual basis to hire highly qualified Clinical Scholars directly out of graduate school, as they work toward their independent clinical licensure.
These highly competitive positions: * Are funded for two full years.
* Allow for selected Scholars to work as clinicians under supervision, carrying appropriate caseloads.
The Fellow will provide an array of therapeutic services for Veterans, Active-Duty Service Members, and their families.
They will participate in ongoing training and attain experience in trauma and Post Traumatic Stress and will be proficient in providing individual, couples, and family therapy, with an emphasis on delivering evidence-based care.
*Essential Job Functions*: (This is not the job description in its entirety) * Provide evidence-based treatment and assessment for veterans and their families.
* Performs and documents patient screenings, psychosocial assessments, and progress and referral information.
* Conduct clinical intake assessments on veterans and family members as needed.
* Provide individual, couples, family, and/or child psychotherapy to patients, with a focus on delivering evidence-based treatments.
* Collaborates and coordinates with the caregiver, physician, director, case management, and all other disciplines to provide the best care to patients as needed.
* Attend weekly clinical, supervision, and administrative meetings.
* Provide services via telehealth platform, as required.
*Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:* * Clinical skill is required for conducting brief and targeted assessments to provide psychotherapy interventions, health and behavior change, substance use treatment, and triage for an appropriate level of care.
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
* Ability to work effectively on multiple tasks and maintain a well-organized work environment.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
*Minimum Qualifications:* * Recent graduate with a master’s degree in social work, counseling, or marriage and family therapy from an accredited program.
* Completion of a master’s level internship at a Cohen Clinic is preferred but not required.
* Have and maintain a current associate license to practice psychology, social work, counseling, and/or marriage and family therapy under supervision within six months of hire.
* *Clinic Hours of Operation*: 8:00 am – 7:00 pm Mon-Thurs and 8:00 – 3:00 pm on Fridays.
Employees should expect to work some evenings and/or weekends.
Flexible schedules are available.
* Pass required background screening.
