The YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Countiesis seeking aMission Program Coordinatorto join our team!
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading non-profit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
As a Mission Program Coordinator, you will supportthe developmentandadministration of the Bridge of Hope Program building efforts through dialogue to strengthen the communities of Pierce and Kitsap Counties.
If hired, you will create an administrative system that supports the volunteers and staff engaged in mission programming.
Through excellent communication skills, the coordinator will drive the internal and external communication efforts of the mission department programsin collaboration with the marketing department.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and keep up an administrative system that supports the efforts of the mission department.
Assist in marketing/communication efforts and strategies.
Oversee the volunteer base of the mission department
Contribute to the development of collaborative relationships with community organizations
Organize and keep all recorded: dialogue log, participant data, evaluations, meeting agenda/notes, dialogue templates, volunteer hours etc.
Collaborate with marketing around internal and external communications; contribute to communication plans.
Support the Association Mission in various tasks necessary for program implementation
Support the relationships with community organizations who are collaborating; communications
Support the development of internal collaboration with the centers within the Association and departments in the centers.
Qualifications:
2 years of post-high school education and/or equivalent knowledge and experience in communications, administration, or related field that includes volunteer development, community development/collaborations.
Passion to be a bridge builder in the community, positive attitude, innovative spirit, and previous experience with diverse populations.
Demonstrated skills in written and oral communications and systems i.
e.
Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
and have an openness and ability to learn new things.
Able and willing to complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on the first day, and other online and in-person training as required.
Wage:$18.
00 to $20.
00 per hour, depending on qualifications
Hours:Part-Time, Up to 25 hours per week
